Someone on television echoed your thoughts the other day.

They said the caregivers of Alzheimer's patients become so secluded that they forget the rest of the world is out there.

The person thought that Nancy Reagan would be deeply comforted to know she isn't quite as alone as she thought she was.

You DO FEEL SO ALONE. Somehow, having the intellect to KNOW THERE ARE OTHERS doesn't make up for it. It's awful. I not only HATE Alzheimers for taking my f-in-law, I DESPISE IT with all my being for putting my husband through so much. It aged my husband and his mom SO MUCH. Alzheimers is evil evil evil incarnate. (especially so because it takes away the ability to pray--but guess what? the Lord holds on the victim tighter than ever anyway).
