They've heard many 21-gun salutes and low-level flyovers in their day. The horses picked for events such as this are picked for qualities like that. They're the best of the best.

I sure you are correct, no doubt. However we shouldn't lose sight that Reagan was an animal lover, and had a soft spot for dogs and horses. The man would have smiled if it had been an old mare with an attitude.

This is what made the man great.

The horse, now named Sgt. York is a 13-year-old horse who used to race at Freehold and Yonkers Raceways in the mid-90's. He is discribed as having a "good demeanor" and being "unflappable" which is the reason why he was picked

I think the horse passed anger management class. So did Reagan.
