I think the term is "numb."
When my dad's mother passed, we were all rather stoic in that way; when my mom's mother passed this year, my brother and I (especially so) were just as "numb" during the services. We both spoke, and demeanors could have easily been mistaken for being unemotional -- at least until you saw my brother finish (he spoke just before I did), and the two of us embrace in the foot of the pulpit (we're both BIG men -- my baby brother a bit larger than me).
I'm sure once the cameras are off her, it'll be a different story. I suspect that she's the type that does not need to air her emotions in front of everyone.
That's it exactly. The hubub of the funeral is a blur- the hard part is when the family and friends go home.
Sorry to hear about you mother, King. she did a good job raising you.
