anyone: why are two of the six horses riderless?

They are riderless someone else said because traditionally they were used to carry supplies.

Should be the three horses on the right side...they were used to carry supplies, the horses on the left carried the soldiers responsible for moving the supplies forward.

Three of the six horses are riderless. The three riderless horses traditionally carried supplies.
