Someone on FNC is talking about how great the Reagans were socially in Washington.

Then he said this administration is hostile and doesn't entertain well.

He doesn't seem to understand that it's the press and DNC that is hostile.

Now even Asman babbling about the talk of how Nancy led Reagan away from his conservative roots.

I'm being driven to go to MSNBC, as the other gent brought up WH china again.

For God's sake, I heard enough of that back in the eighties when the made-up brouhaha was going on.

It is thanks to Nancy's efforts there is decent service in the WH.

Gack. Now Letitia Baldridge again.

So what?? .. If President Bush had more parties .. the DC Press would like him more??

What a load of BS

I remember very well how they all ripped into the Reagan's when they lived in the White House

His guest also said the Carters had no idea how to use the White House socially and often appeared inept at it.

What you've described re: how the Reagans were great socially, and this admin is hostile.

This is exactly what seems to be going on. It's this week's DNC tactic.

To praise RR (so the left looks gracious in doing so) but then use the opportunity to slam the Bush admin.

I've seen it every day since RR died. This is their "talking point" as long as it's useful, till the mediots/DNC realize we're on to them.

It was a constant complaint of the media during those years that the Reagans entertained too much. Carter of course rarely entertained. The media will say anything at all. there is no definitive rational response to them. Not matter what you say or do they will say otherwise. That is why the GOP must constantly strive to point out their posture and inconsistencies
