I never said Syria is under Sharia. I said Islamic Law demands that Christians be made second class citizens. Even if a Moslem nation does not have Sharia, it is influenced by Islamic law and Islamic principles. That is certainly the case with the Baathists in Syria.
You are right, Christians are better off is Syria than in other Arab countries, but that is not saying very much.
