Isn't it about time to put this one to rest? I've seen this and similar posts at least a dozen times in the past week and it all comes down to this:

1. There's neither room nor a viable foundation to carve another face.

2. Mt. Rushmore is an enduring work of ART and should never be altered.

Don't get me wrong. I love and admire President Reagan, but tampering with a national monument is not a fitting way to honor his memory -- and I sincerely believe he would have agreed with that 100%.
