The Reagan Family know his place in history and their sharing of this process with all of America has been more than any of us can expect.

God Bless them.

I saw some of the coverage of people filing through this morning...

There were a couple of points where I saw what looked like Boy Scout troops that went through as a group. They each stopped as a group and gave the Boy Scout salute to the casket as a unit.

I swear. If that doesn't tear you up, you don't have a soul.

Over 100k. They closed the gates at Moorpark college at 3:00 pm. All who were in the parking lot were able to go to the viewing. Expect a mass of humanity tomorrow when the motorcade leaves the Library to go to Point Mugu.

I was impressed by the service members who stood at attention around the casket. I wonder how long each set of personnel were able to stand at attention? Very impressive to see.

I have to go to my daughters six grade graduation in Simi at 0900, or I would be there. We are planning on going Fri night upon Pres Reagan's return.

We tried to get there about 11 last night. Got within 3 miles and heard on the radio it would be another 3 hours to get to the college and 6 hours to get throught the line. My wife and I had business appointments in the morning, so we turned around and got back to OC just after midnight.

Everything about the Reagan's spoke of innate grace and elegance... this is just more of it.

I'm in tears again just watching the police file past on the streaming video.

One after one, they salute. It is heart wrenching.

And understandable.

Those are members of the National Honor Guard. There are servicemen from each of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. They're a very squared-away bunch.

They do rotate them through and change the guard with some frequency. I don't know if it is hourly or what, but they wouldn't have people standing at attention for very long. It is far harder to do than it appears. And you don't want the honor quard passing out and falling over.
