I found this on the internet, and it sounds like a great idea. I wanted to share it with FReepers, as I think that it is relevent to what we do here.
This way, if you see a biased story on FR, you have someplace to report it to.
I think there could be a great symbiosis between FR and this site.
For the record, I am not affiliated with PressCourt in any way.

Walter Cronkite was the most trusted man in America during his tenure as anchor of CBS television news. His political ideology never was permitted to slant coverage of the news he reported. His stories were direct and to the point. After leaving that trusted position he made his opinions clear.well, that's the myth.
reality check time: Cronkite's insertion of "The war is now unwinnable" in coverage of the '68 Tet Offensive (wherein the VC and NVA shot their bolt, and could have been rolled up like a cheap rug) contributed mightily to us losing the Vietnam War.

Where the People Judge the Media I'll save the taxpayers the trouble.
The Press is Guilty as Charged.
The Sentencing Hearing shall commence, whether what they've done to America is or is not, a cpaital offense.

It sounds like a good thing to try and get Bernard Goldberg involved in. Ive seen an interview with him where he was suggesting that there needs to be a peoples news service.

C'mon, either this writer was too young to be there, or his brain has turned to oatmeal. Cronkite, Huntley, Brinkley, Murrow were all liberals and known as liberals.

It's worth checking out -- if not just to take a therapeutic whack at the Times and the AP.

Although I completely agree that the press is biased today, it has been biased for a long time. Cronkite may have handled some stories in a non-partisan fashion, but certainly not Vietnam. He sure didn't wait to get off camera before making his personal views on that known, and going even farther by presenting his personal views as objective, newsworthy facts. The Press Court website has a good idea, but they need to rethink their philosophy if Walter Cronkite is their standard for good tv journalism!

How are the ads coming? I saw a thread a few weeks ago talking about some of your work that was going to be running on cable.
We're still not organized here. The good news is, I believe I've given one of the lawyers ulcers (he was the chief opponent). Maybe he'll be replaced with someone more inclined to my way of thinking. :)
