"Kerry doesn't belong in that line, or any other Washington pol. This viewing is for people like you and me. Politicians have their own time when Ronaldus Magnus is in DC at the Rotunda."

Exactly right!

This is not for political celebrities. Kerry only wants his face on the evening news and he wants it badly.

Hope the powers that be; just say NO to this hypocrit.

(And yes, Kerry; we know who you are. . .and you can get in line with your peers in Washington, soon enough)

FOX just showed Kerry at the Reagan Library.

What was really funny .. in the camera - behind Kerry was this woman who was glaring at Kerry. If body language is any key .. she was not a happy camper and her facial expression said she did not believe Kerry had any right to be there.

Also .. I believe Kerry did this because CA is a swing state and Kerry is not doing well there. This will not help him .. just like Rush predicted this morning.

Kerry's daughter, Alexandra, is graduating from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. He planned to attend the ceremony and a screening of her short film, "The Last Full Measure," which tells the story of a 9-year-old girl and her father's difficult return home from the Vietnam War. Kerry is a decorated Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

Hey, call me crazy, but does this mean that Kerry was in the Vietnam war?

I don't mind if Kerry wants to pay his respects, but it should be after they close. If he attends during the regular procession, the Secret Service's security precautions will prevents hundreds, perhaps thousands of ordinary people from paying their respects.

Thanks - I do hope the point of his visit was not missed. Did not catch Rush today and forgot about the 'swing-state status. He probably was able to mooch the cost of ticket off the taxpayers as well; what with doing the 'people's work'. Not bad; works for a 'no-campaign mode' - prime-time story on him as well.

Do hope Kerry gets the appropriate feedback.

Because of security concerns he will take away the ability of hundreds, perhaps thousands to view the casket.

What security concerns? I thought Lurch said the threat of terrorism was "overstated".

F'n should pay his respects in Washington. It would be good to get him back to the Capitol - with all his missed votes this session I'm sure he's forgotten what it looks like.

I've been surfing the other threads - thanks for the pictures. I'm wondering if today was just a nightmare or this goofball actually pulled such a stunt.

What's he doing? Sneaking up on the coffin?

Saw that too, it was unmistakable. You could read her like a book.
