Herman Cain Receives Georgia Right To Life Endorsement

- Press release

6/7/2004

Today, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Herman Cain received the endorsement of Georgia Right to Life.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Georgia Right to Life,” said Cain. “I also want to congratulate Rep. Mac Collins for receiving the endorsement. I am sure Georgia Right to Life would have loved to endorse all three U.S. Senate candidates, but as we all know, Rep. Johnny Isakson is not pro-life and the voters will not be fooled.”

Rep. Isakson campaigns as pro-life here in Georgia, but he casts pro- abortion votes in Washington. As a result, Georgia Right to Life recognizes that Isakson is a threat to the unborn. GARL understandably endorsed Rep. Collins because he is pro-life and the organization has a 12-year working relationship with him. GARL endorsed Herman Cain because they understand that he has always been pro-life and that this race is between Herman Cain and Isakson.

Cain, the first candidate to go on television and radio, has been steadily building an unparalleled grassroots organization across Georgia. Cain was neck and neck with Isakson in fundraising last quarter. He also recently opened two field offices outside Atlanta that cover South and Southeast Georgia.

Dan Becker, Georgia Right to Life PAC Director, said, “Mr. Cain, we are honored to inform you that you have received our endorsement. You have always been pro-life and we know that he will always be pro-life. As a strong candidate and a man of great moral integrity, we trust you to lead the fight to protect innocent life in Washington.”

Nothing is as sacred as life, and Cain has pledged to protect the unborn in the United States Senate. He will introduce legislation that will restore legal, moral protection of human life and confirm conservative judges to the bench. He opposes the use of tax dollars to pay for abortions, abortion research and activities which could encourage abortion as a ''solution'' to problem pregnancies. Cain is against any fetal experimentation which requires or results in the death of an unborn child. He will support legislation requiring parental notification and consent before an abortion is performed on a minor child. He will work against any attempts to legalize the RU 486 abortion technique and any attempts to make Partial Birth Abortion legal.

“Georgians need a United States Senator who says what he means here, then votes the right way in Washington,” Cain continued. “I will lead the fight to protect innocent life in the U.S. Senate.”

In recognition of Cain’s pro-life views and conservative message, he has received the endorsement of many other pro-life organizations, including: Republican National Committee for Life, Eagle Forum and The Madison Project.

Hey Blessed, here's another chance to pimp for your friend Isakson. After all, he says he doesn't like abortion, even though he wants to keep it legal!

Isakson on abortion: He was for it before he was against it.

I hope the primary polls indicate that Isakkson is below 50%. Also, I assume (and hope) Collins or Cain will endorse the winner.

I am sure Cain will endorse himself. I suspect he will pull off this election. Cain loves a challenge and loves for folks to say he can't do something. He works that much harder.

I would hope Isakson will endorse Cain.

I am certain that whoever wins will receive and endorsement from the others.

The Cain Train is picking up steam, folks! I’m so happy that he received the endorsement of this honorable organization. I’m sure he’ll carry the banner proudly.

Check out this short compilation clip in which Herman Cain debates Obama, through the magic of Hollywood editing, on the merits of health care reform. It’s pretty funny, but one gets the impression that when Herman Cain debates Obama on race and when Herman Cain debates President Obama on the economy, Mr. Cain will take Obama to the woodshed.
