I've always had the suspicion that Gorbachev was one of many people in the Soviet government that actually took President Reagan's "evil empire" remark personally, and were really troubled by it.
No proof. And he's still a commie.

Don't be fooled. Gorbachev was/is an oportunistic communist who took advantage of Ronald Reagan's proposition to make a name for himself.
Gorbachev is still partners in crime with communist dictator Fidel Castro.
