I have the full CBS News D-Day coverage in mp3 format; I'm assuming that this is the same material that Rat Patrol Radio will be airing. If so, don't miss it - this was perhaps radio's finest hour. Bob Trout's narration is riveting, and the live broadcasts carried between 0330 and 0900 give at look at history when history was still current events.
The official announcement from SHAEF is read at 0332, and a live report within the hour from Wright Bryant, who accompanied troopers of the 101st on a C-47 over Normandy, will bring tears to your eyes.
