To: Skooz

It seems there's a lot of us forty-somethings on this thread. President Reagan had a tremendous impact on our generation, and for that I am eternally grateful.

I'm also grateful that my parents are dyed-in-the-wool Republicans. My earliest political memory is at the age of 4. I remember meeting Barry Goldwater as he stumped South Dakota in the presidential race. I was sitting on the tailgate of my parents' 'woody' station wagon that was parked in a cornfield.

LOL ... My mom still has her little gold elephant with barry goldwater glasses on it.

I really think that President Bush is having the same effect on a majority of our children that Reagan had on us.

I have 3 sons, one who voted for Bush in 2000, another who will vote for Bush in his first election this year, and a 16 year old who is more conservative than all the rest of us. :-)
