Owens for Prez. Jeb Bush is an awesome guy, but everyone will scream 41 and 43 are pulling the strings like they claimed W was handled by 41. Wait a few more Jeb.

As for Condi, I love her as the NSA, and as a person she's great, and if you've followed her over the years she's growing more conservative in areas. As Churchill said 'If your not a liberal when your young, you have no heart. If your not a conservative when your older you have no head.' I skipped the first phase, but for many people its true. I would like to see Condi get involved in California after she's Sec of State this next term. A VP needs experience in Congress, thats the VPs job. She is, in my mind, a good follower, (the 1st requirement for being a leader) and a great team player, but not a proven leader. Give her some more time.

As for Colin, same as above. He has changed over time, and an election campaign for congress will expose his positions better then reading tea leaves and speculation. He was A good leader of a body (Joint Chiefs), but the Prez must sometimes lead, not caring who thinks what, or even without consensus. Give it a little more time, maybe he will have shown his positions clearly by 2007. Hope they're good ones.

As for Rudy, he has proven leadership ability, and a positive, electric charm. But he is NOT a realistic option if you believe abortion is MURDER. 'No' now is not forever, and our country owes him much for his actions following 9/11, but No.

Keyes is awesome, and truly understands America's problems, but the pessimist in me says he will be vilified in the Media, and he will fight back, and thats what they want. Not that I wouldn't try my hardest to fight for him.

As for Owens, I am still checking him out, but I like what I read and hear. Pro-life, pro-gun. Popular and honest. Not from a 'upercostervative'state which would led CNN to decry him as a fanatic. My Owens-Watts is tentative, for Owens that is.

JC Watts is extremely, extremely well qualified. He has several terms in the House on many important committees. He has established strong links to many groups, and has respect in the Black Community. He calls it as it is. He is well spoken, and not easy distracted and never bullies or is bullied. He works to build consensus, but will go it alone. He was elected overwhelmingly by Whites, and as Blacks are leaving the Dems, they are looking for someone to relate to and to cheer on. He has avoided the 'Black Leadership' farce, and has done it his way. He is a man who relies on God for his strength and direction, and is very intelligent to boot. He supports the military strongly, and wants to sees America in a Reagan-like Black and White, with no shades of Gray. People like that, alot!

Anywho, Chaney should 'retire' to Hawaii in 2006, and Bush should submit Watts as VP. By then we will have close to, if not 60 seats, and get him confirmed. He finishes the term and DOES NOT go for the Presidency, instead making it clear he would like instead to serve another term as VP if the nominated Pres would take him. Owens would get the Nod, (IF REPUBLICANS WILL PLEASE AVOID THE 'DEVOUR EACH OTHERS YOUNG' THING WE DO SO WELL AT TIMES!!!) and picks up Watts. Now you have a strong candidate for the Pres, and a Semi incumbents status with the VP, not to mention the opportunity to be at least even with the Dems among Black voters. Are you hearing ANY of this Mr. Rove?

Err, umm. My spelling in the above. What?? I'm losing it.
'and sees America in a Reagan-like Black and White, with no shades of Gray', and 'SuperConservative'. I blame the spellcheck goblins.
