Abu Ghraib was NOT discussed yesterday....nothing new.

What WAS new was the revelation that Pres. Bush requires the services of a personal lawyer in the Valerie Pflame/Wilson/Niger affair.

That IS directly connected to the CIA.

If MI/DIA was doing the interrogation of Abu Ghraib prisoners, then the CIA would have plausible deniability on that one.

Except that was NOT the news.

The report certainly was not that President Bush *requires* the services of a personal lawyer. The news was he consulted a lawyer and will retain him at a future date if need be. That could mean many things, and you can bet your boots GWB has not done wrong, and it is more likely in prep of the odious Wilsons preparing to sue him.

I just wonder why today and why Bush looked so surprised. Why didn't Tenet wait until after Bush had made his news regarding his trip? Why didn't he wait until Bush and Tenet could have a joint mutual appreciation society press conference?
