Small things. Nothing major, but a few small disappointments.

I agree, about the "subtle commentary". But the types who need to see it would probably find it "offensive". Gosh, have the French NO pride? (Other than false pride)
DeGaulle was quite an ass...just read his biography. I'm also thinking his was something of a soft-sell.
Monty was a pain in the rear.!...Ge Gaulle was as arrogant as only the French can be...
De Gaulle withdrew from NATO and the French do not belong to the military side of NATO even today.
Very good. Freepers on theWest Coat, fire up the VCRS and Tivos if you have an interest in WWII. Well worth the time.
I'm not a fan of Ike's (Operation Keelhaul), but I am a Selleck fan since he took Rosie O'Dumbell down a notch. I was taping the show and there was a commercial that overran the intro to the 2nd part of the 2nd hour. Grrrrr! Then they superimposed an ad to advise me there will be a rerun after this show.
He does not call himself a conservative but says he is a registered Independent with Libertarian leanings. That is good enough for me.
I thought the movie was good. I hated history when I was growing up, and only recently started to try to learn all the things I missed, so this was good for me to see. The parallels to today are very interesting.
Keep preachin' doll. You're in the right.

Great, wonderful pic, thanks! And great movie that should be required viewing(but the PTB would sooner force the kids to watch some Hanoi Hannah flick)
We don't have TV reception ... looking forward to getting the video from the library, after these comments!

Best laugh of the day! I was givin' an earfull myself. Said the french hadn't changed a bit.
Love love love your tagline:)
I think it was excellent. Tom Selek did an excellent job, he was totally believable.
Please, for all means explain. Others, please do not flame without historical proof.

Still happy to have him mostly on our side, but would like to see a little more solid support.
