And the French spit on and desecrate American graves buried in their soil.

I agree!
When confronting evil - the only thing that matches the yellow streak running down the back of the modern frechmen, is the yellow stream running down their legs.

For the first time, the German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder, has been invited to a D-Day commemoration.Representing the NAZI'S? Or rewriting history?
Watch the protestors, they'll be calling Bush the Nazi. Saturday night live material, IMHO!

The streets of Paris are lined with trees so the German army can march in the shade.

I liked Mark Steyn's take on the French:
Like the French Resistance, tiny in its day but of apparently unlimited manpower since the war ended, for some people it's not obvious which side to be on until the dust's settled.

The French are considering modernizing to a two-level system for the 21st century. "Run" and "Hide" just delay matters, so they'll be removed for efficiency purposes.

The republic's inglorious military history leaves it on the wrong side of debate about proper use of force
Well said. French know pastries and wine, and that's about it.

The French better treat our president right on D Day!

Why on earth were we even fighting the Germans? We should have just dealt with the Japanese because they attacked us first. By fighting the Germans in Europe with a small coalition,(Germans, Italians and French didn't care to help much), mainly the British, Americans, Australians, Canadians were the only ones fighting.
We stretched ouselves too thin. We had so many set backs and foul ups in that war. We lost all those lives when we could have saved hundreds of thousands by only taking on the Japanese.
I think FDR had some kind of personal vendeta against Hitler or Britain just used its American protector to do its bidding in Europe because it couldn't do it on its own.
