Go back and re-read the whole chapter. In verse 6, you'll see that God has the power to keep a person from sinning against him. Also, in reading that chapter and the following chapter, you'll see that God had a purpose in the entire incident, start to finish. Abraham was one of God's prophets, one of those he speaks with. If God had a problem with Abraham's conspiracy with Sarah, he could have spoken with him about it, and he could've stopped him from sinning. He chose not to, for his own purpose.

BTW, when you read the whole chapter, note that Abraham and Sarah had their conspiracy going on for some time, and apparently used the same scheme more than once. God's ways are above our ways.

This is my first post here. been lurking for awhile. What I find interesting about religion is that it doesnt come natural. It must be taught. Why is that?
Seems to me that many Christians here read and interpret the bible differently. Very confusing for someone that want taught religion.
One of the reasons I have chosen no religion is because they all want to condemn me to hell if I chose the wrong one.
Just an outsiders perspective. Please carry on.

Your post to me also makes me consider what a miracle it is that this man had the presence to think of this scheme under such extreme fear and pressure. I think it was very brave of him to have the nerve to lie to these terrorists. It's a miracle his life was spared.
