After a lifetime of ridiculing single-issue voters, I've become one. Don't bother me with prescription drugs, Bush's anti-conservative spending habits, the growth of government, and lousy Republican stewardship over the wetlands.
We are at war!
Dammit, don t you understand? We are at WAR? Just because House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi doesn t feel it (her words, not mine!), that doesn't excuse the rest of us. This war, in spite of all that s gone wrong, is eminently winnable. I see, not just goodness, but glory if American policy succeeds. And, conversely, unending trouble if it doesn't. And I mean big trouble; possibly even civilization-ending trouble!
This may seem like a strange defense of President Bush. But it will be followed by an even stranger attack on Senator John Kerry.

Thank you for the links, I've been reading Farber's columns, he is one of the good guys. I must admit, I am leaning more toward the fact that he does not, can not really believe WMD's were not, are not, and will not be found in Iraq and that there was no Iraq-Al Quada connection. The left is going to play these lies for all they can. Even to make a point, none of us should condon the propaganda by surrendering, even temporalily, our most powerful weapon, the Truth.

Indeed!
The bottom line is, this issue is the overriding one. All else pales before it. That is the nature of war, and is the fate suffered by those nations at war.
Personally, I think we are going to witness an October surprise that will effectively clinch the election for W. It's always possible something nasty will happen, of course, which will pretty much scotch whatever chance Kerry has, but I'm thinking more in line with something political occuring overseas in that time frame, one that will take the wind out of the Dem's sails.
We will have to wait and see.
Thanks for the ping!
