I was thinking the same thing, when I saw "From Here To Eternity" posted earlier. I have a hard time thinking of it, "Pearl Harbor", etc. as war flicks...they're more like goofy romance stories set during the war. To call them war movies, you'd have to consider "The Sound of Music" and "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" in the group as well.

Anything starring Cuba Godding Jr. and Ben Affleck can not accurately be described as a "war" flick.

If you want to see a real war movie, check out the Harvey Keital film that documents-in not too historical a fashion, if you ask me-the Allies capture of the Enigma code used by German U-Boats.

Now that was a film!
