This brings the number of carriers over the horizon to 10. As far as I’m concerned they are all on emergency operational deployment.

The cover stories are completely transparent.

Of the remaining 2 carriers only USS Nimitz is deployable as the USS Eisenhower is having its nuclear power plant refuelled and will be out of commission for several years.

Notice how the article says that the seven carriers deployed represent every carrier that is seaworthy. When in reality there are now 10 carriers at sea.

What REALLY is going on? This doesn't even take into account the subs that have headed for open water.

my guess - naval blockade of Iran and protection of oil shipment from other Gulf nations is coming - as part of the UN/IAEA sanctions against Iran because of their nuclear program.

Sounds like they expect the G8 to trigger something. Did you note that Israel also has subs with missles?

As I read about the 10 carriers, I could almost hear that actor in the Airport movies exclaiming "looks like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking."
