Interesting that the media report stated American and Western airlines. The way you show it translated here with Ajeeb, it can be interpreted as a direct threat to "American Airlines" in particular(IMO).

The Arabic shows American in the context of a proper noun, as opposed to an adjective. To me it looks like they are threatening American Airlines and other western airlines.

They are also threatening compounds and transportation systems, as well as military bases. By compounds they are refering not just to residential complexes like the Oasis Resort, but hotels and other similar facilities.

It appears to me that this threat is warning Muslims in Saudi Arabia to stay away from Westerners, where they live and their means of transportation.

They want to disrupt oil operations in Saudi Arabia, and purge the area of any Westerners. They are trying to avoid killing Muslims in the process.
