Reference the purported Gettysburg Attack:
1) 50,000 yards is extreme range for an ageing diesel boat of the type the Iranians have.
2) A Harpoon is the wrong weapon to use if the vessel is submerged.
3) The Gettysburg is part of a carrier task force, so all the ships in the TF would have responded, including air assets.
I am not discounting it happened, just questioning the attack and response tactics. Something doesnt add up.
