Thanks PI. ALready listened to it. Some are saying it's a hoax. Who knows what's what anymore. There is so much stuff flying around right now it's mind-boggling.

Over at TB2000 I came across a link where you can download the recording of the original Snowball intercept:

I have listened to this recording and I'm convinced it is a fake. This does not sound like a single sideband transmission. It is hard to describe if you have never heard a SSB transmission before, but there is a certain audio quality about it that is unmistakeable. Also there was no fading in the signal until the very end of the recording. It was way too "clean" sounding.

Regardless, it did send a bit of a chill down my spine, even though I am firmly convinced this recording is not authentic.
