Explosions Heard at U.S. Base in Kirkuk

KIRKUK, Iraq - Large explosions were heard Wednesday night at the U.S. base at Kirkuk airport, and an Iraqi officer said it appeared the blasts were coming from the ammunition dump there.

Fire engines were seen racing into the airport, which is used by the Americans as a base at this northern oil-producing center.

Maj. Gen. Anwar Mohammed Amin, commander of the Iraqi Civil Defense Corps in the area, said the blasts were coming from an ammunition storage site. He had no further details.

"AD, just think of the repercussions. No food, no electricity, no water, no information, not Internet, no one could travel...and then a Nuke goes off."

It's easy if you try...

don't know why but your post made me think of John lennons song 'Imagine'.

The other report was an SUV intentionally crashed into a pump and caused explosion. I think this is another one. If so then I would say they have begun.

Makes one less than comfortable, doesn't it?

At the first sign of the next attack, I'll start making my way (on foot, at night, staying off any roads if necessary) to my safe place. Lots of animals to eat. Lots of well armed and ticked off country folk.

I hope and pray it never comes to that but I am as prepared as I can be for that scenario.

"They Live" I recall some TM posters talking about this movie back a few months ago. Maybe they are the reptiles.
But really folks, I think it is a taunt, they are going to unmask amongs't us. That's scary, I didn't bring Smith and Wesson to work with me today.

I sure don't. That's something you really need to have someone show you. It's not that difficult. They come apart pretty much the same why they were put together. LOL!

Saudi Arabia announced Wednesday that it will dissolve all Saudi international charities and fold them into a single government-sponsored entity, in an effort to stop the flow of money to terrorist organizations.

There, that's better.
