"men who have returned with a sense of anger and a sense of betrayal which no one has yet grasped."

And they have that anger because they returned to a country who welcomed them not as heros, but spat upon them as butchers.
We can thank every 70s "peacenik" for their rage.
Soldiers can endure a lot of horror and atrocity, so long as they believe their fellow countrymen are behind them.

I saw a local who had a Harley sticker and a "Vets For Kerry" sticker on his pickup truck.
I can't decide if I was more ashamed that he is a local, a "veteran" or a biker.
Maybe all three.

This especially tears at me because my husband builds trike conversion kits for motorcycles.
We give a 10% discount to all military personnel, including active duty, reserve, national guard and veterans.
It's an across the board discount and it sickens me that we may be "honoring" guys like the one above, inadvertantly.
We have decided to follow the military rule "If you can't respect the man, respect the uniform".

I do include a LOT of "pro-military" and "Freepish" content on our sites in the hope that it will "disgust" the liberal "veterans for Kerry" types.

Veterans for Kerry is an oxymoron, isn't it?? At the VERY least, it should be!!
