Thanks for posting that article, I remember reading it and wondering about the reference to the stolen notebook. I still wonder about that.
Howlin, yes in Iraq. I don't know about this guy Aziz. I had read earlier that he was the guy who was speaking at Chamber of Commerce type events trying to get investors into Iraq. This article seems to say that he was a contact provided at one of these kind of events.
I also seem to remember that one of the questions of Berg (when last detained) was something about Iran and pipe bombs. Does anyone else recall that? (I am at the office so I don't have my bookmarks with me. I can try to look it up later.) But it's a little interesting given the Chalabi allegations and this Aziz character who similarly advocated the overthrow of Saddam with some amount of credibility with the US government.

Oh geez sorry - yes there are hideous pictures - very graphic, on that radical guy's site!!!! Beware! Click only if you can handle those - also the mounds of BS the guy spews in between his research.

Ah, yes. Connect the dots.

I waded through a lot of Muslims sites yesterday before this story came out, just to see what was being said.
Lots of whacky theories that seemed impossible yesterday; not today.
And my Favorites folder now unfolds into the next room!

Very good thinking there. I agree.
He may really have it. But you're right - he could be saying it just for he reasons you give.

I currently have two cameramen/reporters doing work for me in Iraq for my movie (unbeknownst to the Army). They are talking to soldiers and gathering the true sentiment about what is really going on. They Fed Ex the footage back to me each week. That's right, Fed Ex. Who said we haven't brought freedom to Iraq! The funniest story my guys tell me is how when they fly into Baghdad, they don't have to show a passport or go through immigration. Why not? Because they have not traveled from a foreign country -- they're coming from America TO America, a place that is ours, a new American territory called Iraq.

I think this Aziz guy spoke at the Patriots Rally in D.C. on the Mall last March or April. If it is the same guy I am thinking of, I think he was also at the freeper rally earlier that winter, at the Lincoln memorial. My husband and I were impressed by him at the time.
Isn't this him on the guest list? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/869829/posts

Angelwood, is this the same guy?

Geeze that sounds like O'Reilly's interview with Ann Coulter last night!
To: Dolphy
Yes.
If y'all watched Fox news much before the war, you probably remember Aziz. I do, vividly. I was so proud of him. He was on fox, and on talk radio everywhere telling people how much Iraqis like him supported Bush & the war to oust Saddam.
Turns out he had a few things in his background that weren't to be proud of - guess he was a bit overzealous in his "capitalism" lol... the crack vial sale and sales of counterfeit CDs from his store.
Yes, Nick mentioned the Iran thing and the pipe-bomb question in an e-mail. It's on my page.

Great find. Sometimes, my 65 year old CNS system amazes me.
Piasa asks the question, "I immediately respond that he may have been in one of the DC events before the war."
Then you post that he was on the list.
He signed in with his second name:
Aziz Al-Taee, Chairman, Iraqi American Council

I heard that rumor about Berg here and from all accounts it is probably true but everything here goes under the "rumor" category because no one wants to confirm anything in public. I think that is strange.
White guy hanging out with the Islamic Society is the only reason a lot of people remember him. The only buses we have running here in Norman go between the apartment complexes and the university all day long. Now how could he have given Moussaoui his email access code unless they were here together on a bus coming or going to an apartment complex? That means Berg was here in 2001 or Moussaoui was here in late 1999/early 2000.
