Not really, when you consider that her surname sounds Jewish. The principal (and some of his students) should undergo some uncomfortable questioning.
At the risk of sounding litigious, that principal should be forced to answer some questions in a courtroom, under oath.
I too wonder if there is a racial component. M.L. King Middle School? Hmmm. The girl's name looks Polish to me --she could be Jewish too, of course; but just being blond is enough put one in danger in some places.
