Actually, Bill appears to be taking the time and making the effort to bypass the gatekeepers of the plantation - and speak directly to people. He will not win over any of the so-called leadership (of any color) that needs black Americans to remain a unified block of voters, but he may (dare we hope) reach those who are willing to listen and to think.
President Reagan bypassed the media, going directly to the people with great success. Here's a prayer that Mr. Cosby has the same level of success.
