Woodward on LKL just said he doesn't think Iraq was a political decision but rather the president thought it was important to the war on terror and thought Iraq was a threat.
Woodward further says he doesn't buy Former Secy. O'Neill's assertion that Iraq was always on the table (in terms of going to war with them).
Woodward says he looked at all the intel and notes and he does not believe that Pres. Bush was just looking for a reason to go to war with Iraq.
Too bad he didn't say that back when O'Neill was all over TV; and louder.
I think the statement about the prison story shocked me because he has been rather fair to Bush.
