a, sorry, i'm like a lurker but I don't post here cause I think you need your space anyhow well I was kinda like wondering if you knew what time bush would be giving his speech. also, you said it would be on MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, CSPAN. Like, do you know what channel number that would be. and is it up or down from mtv. my roommate threw the remote and like it barely works now so it like only goes up or down. oh will he like be talking about iraq and stuff cause i was planning to vote this time and want to know about that.

For the most part, I think it's politically motivated "blood in the water" overkill, wishful thinking even, by sharks who've been feeding on the over-abundance of eagerly supplied polling data as news, and a steady diet of those awful prison pictures.

I could easily discount and discredit the motivation for much of it, as Larry Sabato so ably did in his latest "Crystal Ball". But I take seriously his dire warnings, and I hope the White House does too.
Shame on the networks for not showing the President's speech tonight live. "Equal time" should require it after the bad news they've emphasized for so many days.
(My surefire prediction du jour: Chris Mathews will get the speech all wrong. His immediate critiques are always way off base.)
You're all invited to guess if the cable ratings do better than the crap that the nets are showing...also,when the nets break in for their updates, will they start with the Dems comments first?
EVERYONE in the media, including GW's advance people, are DOWNPLAYING this speech. I hope this is NOT true, and I it would be a big dissappointment if the HEADLINE from this speech has something to do with the Abu Gharib prison story. Please don't let it be that!!!

Neal Cavuto opened his program this afternoon with comments/indications that many on Wall Street are beginning to lose confidence in GWB.
Michael Savage just opened his radio program with 'this is probably the make it or break it speech for GWB's Presidency.'
It's funny how the very networks who criticize Bush for being "secretive" and avoiding the press won't even cover [live] a major speech on the future of Iraq.
