There is another article on here in which Clancy says he won't support the President if he doesn't change leadership in the Pentagon.

Here's the deal, hchutch. If I have to choose, I am going with the guy who is in the arena and has stood up for this nation for the last three years, rather than someone who has made a ton of money writing books after getting lucky on his first one. As far as I know, Clancy was an insurance salesman and I don't believe ever served.

I choose to stand with the President. And Clancy, and Zinni, and all the rest of the carpers who have done NOTHING to help, can all go pound sand.

"No one needs to buy Clancy's books anymore. His sources are dry holes now. Nobody trusts him anymore."

Tom was too close to the pink panty wearing Pentagoners who got promoted by the Clintoons. They were the first to go when Rummy took over. They are out of there or in charge of recounting paper clips in the Pentagon's basement.

Good point about the 20% directed to us, but I think it is too little too late. Frankly, I am getting REAL sick of this. If it is so darn important that he win the election then he need to do more getting the message out. Where are the Republican Congressmen trying to communicate this? During the impeachment of Clinton, all we heard was Congressmen after Congressmen defending a man they KNEW was guilty. Our representatives are mute! I've contacted my representatives about this and they just blame it on the press, what gives!?

I personally feel Bush is doing a good job as President and I want him to win the election, but if they (the Republicans) are not going to try harder I seriously doubt it will happen....

Who is he going to support KERRY-NADER

If he said this he is a boob

His books based on REAL incidents are great Like Hunt For Red October BUT his prediction types like the war with Japan etc etc are out of it

He COMPLETELY missed the signs of the downfall of the USSR

After his first 4 or 5 books I quit reading
Like the majority of authors they just write the same stuff over and over after a while and I find them boring

I must correct myself. It was Zinni who said that at an interview in which Clancy was present.

I actually have become more angry about his appearance on Hannity last night. Zinni said the lives lost weren't worth getting rid of Saddam, and Clancy said we had no reason to go in.

And this on the station that is the one MOST WATCHED BY OUR ARMED FORCES. What a blow to morale that was!

On a staging note, I didn't like the checkerboard logos behind George W. I think it was too busy and I couldn't see the flags that were on the right. If anyone thought it was boring, I blame the backdrop in large measure and he wore a blue tie. He disappeared into the scenery.

Thanks for that info... I didn't realize that. I'll be tuning in for all of them!

You are right. They even pronounce Carmel differently. I lived in Indiana, and visited the one in California. :-)
