This would seem to open the door for George Holmes (the Yadkin County rep that lost out in the Speakership vote last year) to assume the throne... unless other shuffles are in the works.

AMEN! I am glad to see the NC GOP is making moves to oust his RINO rear-end! "Sharing" the speaker position was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

Good move, IMHO.

Sounds good. I take it that "Main Street Republicans" is just a newfangled way of saying "Big Tent Republicans."

Ousting Morgan is similar to leaving 500 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean -- a good start.

""I'm tired of an extreme point of view holding the rest of the party hostage," he said."

Liberals infiltrating to move republicans further and further left.

It sounds like this Morgan as the NC "Speaker" is much in league with the "Republican" President of the FL Senate, Jim King, another "popular" moderate.

But first the party will need to have a quorum at the Sunday morning meeting. For that reason, Huber and I will be hitting the road shortly for an hour-and-a-half drive to Greensboro, for a 10 minute meeting. (At times I question my sanity.)

The big tent concept is a good idea except some Republicans think this means caving in to the RATS! We need to attract voters that have conservative values..and there are lots out there! Points of policy and ideas can be debated but not principles....Toss out the RINO scum!

There is a difference; like Morgan, King is self-serving; unlike Morgan, however, King is evil.

That's why we need to start walking in old, established, black neighborhoods and sharing the Republican message. They need to hear that the Democrat party took a "sharp left turn" and left them behind.

History was made today in North Carolina.

"Whereas Richard Morgan has stated publicly his intention as Speaker to defeat his political enemies within the Republican House Caucus...

"Whereas Richard Morgan was intimately involved in the disign of the adopted unconstitional redistricting maps that would likely prevent the Rupublican Party from obtaining a Republican majority...

"Whereas Richard Morgan has since the adoption joined as a plaintiff in legal actions designed and contrived to prevent a Republican Majority...

"Whereas Richard Morgan refused to voter for either of the Republican House Caucus nominees for Speaker of the House, and

"Whereas Richard Morgan's activities withing the Republican House Caucus directly and substantially contributed to the loss of a solely Republican Speakership of the NOrht Carolina House, and

"Whereas Richard Morgan's vote in favor of the House resolution naming himself and Democrat Jim Black as Co-speakers falls withing the meaning of "influencing the outcome of any election against a Republican endorsed be the appropriate Legislative Caucus," and

"Whereas Article VII.G of the NCGOP State Plan of Organization states that "Each officer and each Member of the State Executive Committee shall refrain from utilizing the powers and dignity of his or her office or position in any Republican Primary for public office at any level," and

"Whereas (2 more violations listed)

"Whereas ...[he was warned by this committee]... (snip)

"Therefore the Executive Committee of the NCGOP finds that Richard Morgan's agenda is different from and injurious to the NCGOP, and

"Further blah, blah, and

"Further the Exec Committee of the NCGOP orders Richard Morgan's immediate removal from the Executive Committee of the North Carolina Republican Party pursuant to Article VII.A.7 of the North Carolina Party State Plan of Organization.

NC *Ping*

Let MYkdsmom, Constitution Day or Taxrelief know if you want on or off the NCPing list, or if you think you've been accidentally dropped, or ....
If you hear from ayone that this was "divisive", ask them why the decision was unanimous with the exception of Morgan and his small band of Morganistas (8 out of 170 votes).
