My words taken out of context - words composed to take the edge off the flame throwers - and since Yiddish theater is the inspiration for modern American comedy I thought it clever and humorous. Here goes:

Patrick Lang evidently believes that the Likud party runs the US

In my best Yiddish accent - Runs? No! Influences? ehhhhhhhhhhhh (When I do this I sound like Gilbert Godfrey)

Since the Yiddish theatre was actually far better know for its dramas and was NOT the inspiration for modern American comedy, perhaps your stab at what you imagine is a Yiddish theatre inspired comedy routine (whatever THAT may be),fell flat.

Actually, the "tumlers" (sp?) of the Castskill Mountains resorts, were the training grounds of many old, famous standup comics and one movie comic...Danny Kay.

BTW...many of the MOST famous plays of the Yiddish theatre, were inspired by/outright stolen from such Jewish giants as William Shakespeare. :-)
