When I first showed up here during the agonizing RECOUNT to post, I was stunned at the acrimony between Libertarians and Conservatives....now it seems quaint.
There are not many high-volume-posting Libertarians left.
Folks like OWK....I guess tpaine still carries the torch.
I like a couple of things about them but I'm just your garden variety Molon Labe, anti-infanticide, crush Moon Rock Nazis conservative with one foot in the culture war and another in US power projection.
Where'd the Libertarians go?

As tex so aptly noted, libertarian style conservatism on FR has been told to go to the backroom in no uncertain terms.
Many, like OWK, fought the edict for awhile, then gave up, and moved on.
I'd guess, [and it is a true guess] that I'm tolerated around here because our constitution is more important that libertarian doctrine, imo, and I try to stick to arguing from that perspective.
-- Even the 'new' style conservatives around here still pay lip service to our constitution, -- when pressed. -- And I love to press that bell.
When/if the general consensus at FR changes to the pure Rino Washingtonian view that the constitution can be safely ignored, -- I'll be outa here also. - Ya can't fight city hall when you're camped out in the mayors 'living room'.

(This is it. We either win and prevail or we lose and get tossed into that dustbin W mentioned!)
