I do think that this is a sad practice. The money that flows through race tracks certainly isn't about the humane treatment of these dogs. Unfortunately neither is the same need for money that fuels these groups to file lawsuits "for the animals".

Would cocaine make the dogs run faster? It's used as an anesthetic, so maybe it allows mistreated dogs to run through pain.
