Actually, there was easily enough Sarin "precursor chemical" in that one IED to kill every nutjob at DU plus all of those at A.N.S.W.E.R. and all of those working for the Fraudcasters if applied in a laboratory environment.
The "precursor chemicals" are NOT real safe. One of them may be simply something such as alcohol, but in general, one is pretty nasty stuff even before being mixed with the other, and that one requires some special care. (Think agricultural pesticides)
JGault got a ZOT?
Oh no - one of our most wonderful posters is gone?
We'll really miss his insight, I do believe.
</sarcasm>
Hogwash
"In my definition, nuclear weapons are the only WMDs."
Now you and I had this discussion last year.
You admitted that Ricin, Sarin, VX, Tabun, Blood Agent, and all biological and chemical weapons were "Weapons Of Mass Destruction".
And now you say this?
You intellectually dishonest lying scum weasel.
No wonder you got zotted.
If it's temporary, you owe alot of people an apology.
If it's permanent, sianara, I won't be missing you.
You probably have seen the explaination.There are two separate chambers in the shell..the mixture is made when fired from the intense shell rotation.Premixed,the sarin does not last long at all..separated it does.
JG got the zot.
Don't know if it's permanent or not yet.
But there's a thread about it avaialable.
I know..I just had to say my one word opinion.Great post to the departed one, darksheare...;)
Thanks!
Somehow though, your simple one word statement seems better.
*chuckle*
This is what I could find from FAS;
"IN A BINARY MUNITION,THE TWO PRECURSOR CHEMICALS ARE STORED
SEPARATELY AND ONLY MIXED TO FORM THE CHEMICAL AGENT IMMEDIATELY BEFORE OR WHEN THE ROUND IS IN FLIGHT. THUS, THE
SHELF LIFE OF THE AGENT BECOMES IRRELEVANT;"
http://www.fas.org/irp/gulf/cia/960715/72569.htm
From their/CIA's information as long as the precursers are stored on this fashion, the sarin will last a very long time.
Let's hope that they, the terrorist, do not find anymore.
"In my definition, nuclear weapons are the only WMDs."
Yet, as with all the previous definitions, even THIS definition is very volatile -- contingent upon whether a nuclear weapon is found in Iraq.
You see, the definition of a WMD for the Galt-ites is not determined by its actual nature/properties/capabilities but by whether or not it has been FOUND. A corollary to this is whether or not the United States has identical or similar weapons.
In other words, chemical artillery rounds are very DEFINITELY WMD, but only if:
a) They have NOT yet been found in Iraq;
or:
b) They are in the U.S. military arsenal.
Ah...I know what you're thinking, what if there is an instance when both a) and b) are true? but I'm ahead of you. The solution comes to us via the Viable Life Doctrine regarding abortion, wherein a baby's right to life is determined not by its inherent physical/biological viability but by what level of technology is available in the area or region the mother lives in, i.e., the very same baby is legally viable in NY City, but maybe not in rural Wyoming.
With this location- or custody-based logic, the Galt-ites can then say that while a sarin chemical round is suddenly no longer a WMD the moment one is found in Iraq, the identical round in the U.S. inventory STILL IS a WMD.
Like I said. Orwell didn't know the half of it...
Just heard.
The Galtedone is merely suspended.
Last post incorrect.
The Galtedone has been Banned, say again, banned.
*sigh*
Sometimes I should slow myself down a little.
someone set him up the ZOT?
oooo, that'll leave a welt! Good one!
re: Galt's account:
"This account has been banned or suspended.
LOL!
