The murderers of Nick Berg deserve execution, without a doubt. However, the treatment of these terrorists as domestic criminals not unlike the Beltway Snipers or McVeigh and Nichols is deadly wrong. We are conducting the Iraqi situation as a police action and are arresting people. By so doing, we are bringing a knife to a gunfight. Our enemies are acting like military opponents. We had best stop pulling our punches and finish this job decisively. No more political retreats such as Fallujah.
