Slowly knife their heads off with a rusty pair of scissors on camera.
Nah. Stake 'em out on a street in Baghdad and have a parade: drive tanks and tracks and and trucks over 'em until there is nothing but a thin paste, then wash it into the sewer.
"Slowly knife their heads off with a rusty pair of scissors on camera."
Heart says yes. Head says absolutely not.
The one thing that we can't do to beat them is to BE them. Granted, the old saying is that if you're a wolf chasing a fox, you don't go dressed like a wolf...you become the fox.
In our case, we are different. I think that's why the world alternatively loves us and hates us: we are different. Why has the method of capital punishment changed over the years, from beheadings to hangings to electrocution to gas chamber, to the current standard, lethal anesthesia?
A hint: it's not because we want our capitally convicted prisoners less dead. It's because we as a people believe in the dignity of life, even in the legal ending of it.
As long as the right people are convicted, and as long as they end up humanely dead, I will be satiated.
