I think we have a basis for W and co. keeping this quiet and classified. We do not want the bad guys to find this stuff if it is still dispersed. They are getting the shells from somewhere and are too stupid to know about the wet ones. I think we tried to conceil this but the bad news of the killing of the shiite head of the council made it necessary to turn the rudder a bit back toward to the president. We may not want it known that there are hundreds of mustard gas shells either. Better to run off a tally of these finds at the convention (Before october, after the coming Kerry Love Fest)

My guess is that the limits of their "brightness" is how to make the "wet" ones work right, not that they don't know that there are "wet" ones. Do remember that the 1993 WTC bomb had a witches brew of poisons mixed in (fortunately, they were not dispersed as planned).

That having been said, what Kimmit said about how the shells are supposed to work was monumentally stupid, IMHO.

Bush is running out of time, he can't keep "concealing" and "classifying" and allow the media to define everything as he sinks further in the polls. An October surprise on WMD isn't going to work - its too transparent, it opens up the case that they were hiding information all along. Tell the truth, and tell it now.
