"A briefing on sarin used against our troops and the reporter asked to switch the topic to Abu Ghraib...
Just when you think the press can't sink any lower..."
Trust me. I never think that the press couldn't sink any lower. In fact, I totally expect them to do so.
Did anyone see the movie "The Rock", with Nicolas Cage, Sean Connery and Ed Harris? The weapon of choice in that movie was VX, or Sarin gas.
In the movie, one of the generals was asked about what the casualty rate would be, from 17 missiles armed with VX/Sarin, being released in San Francisco, and he said, "About 60 or 70." One other official said, "That's...that's not so bad." The first guy said "Thousand. 70 THOUSAND....DEAD. One teaspoon of this stuff hits the floor, it's lethal up to a couple of feet. One teaspoon of this s--t hits the atmosphere, will kill every living thing in a one mile radius.
"Get the picture?"
Hmm...sounds like a weapon of MASS destruction to me...(and by the way, if that stuff is lethal in the air, doesn't Iraq have some pretty bad WINDSTORMS??? I know, nothing here, move along...)
Off subject(???), I would like to produce my own advertisement, though I'm sure someone has thought of it...use the clip of John Kerry saying "The threat of terrorism has greatly been exaggerated", and then somehow get the clips from the terrorist acts that have been done since even 2000...the Cole, 9-11 (4 of them), Anthrax, Madrid...
And after every one of those, replay Kerry's clip.
At the end would be "No, Mr. Kerry. Your qualifications to lead this country have been greatly exaggerated."
That would be a great ad to use against Kerry.
Of course, he's whine that his patriotism is being challenged.
I would counter it wasn't his patriotism that was being challenged, but rather his manhood and intelligence.
Fox News Alert:
Two weeks ago a shell with mustard gas found. (per sources at defense)
It is possible it came from a stockpile from as many of 500 that may contain it. (That is what they said, though it wasn't clear they confirmed that there is such stockpile, just that they suspect it? Stay tuned for more solid reporting on this aspect)
Also, I haven't read the latest replies, but this shell with Sarin exploded Saturday and we're just finding out.
Actually VX is not sarin.
VX IS the stuff of nightmares, sarin is pretty bad but not on the level of VX.
Sarin is not the same as VX. VX is a more dangerous, more modern nerve agent that isn't really a "gas" at all. It can be employed as an aerosol, though.
