looks like there will be a full scale civil war, all revved up and rolling on "turn over" day.

Shall we let them all kill each other?

Can we get our guys out of the rough areas so the shia and the sunni can get the "blood" revenge out of their system for a few months?

Maybe they can pacify each other.
Then the kurds can take over.

The Kurds aren't "taking over" diddly.

If they tried anything too cute both the shia and sunni would join forces to beat them back down, then once that was accomplished they would resume beating on each other.

Someone once described democracy as "three wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner"....guess which role the Kurds have?

BTW...I fully agree with your "full scale civil war" prediction. It's gonna' be nasty.
