I don't understand why in today's world a truck carrying dangerous cargo would not have a tracking device.

I agree with you. Gas trucks et al should all have tracking devices. Though, if satellites are swept from the skies in a meteor storm, it could be interesting to see what tracking capacities are left.

Either someone in a position of responsibility is asleep at the swtitch.

OR

Someone in a position of authority is deliberately avoiding allowing tracking.

Either case is a cause for very valid concern.

I wonder if we have a connection at all with HOMELAND SECURITY sufficient to check this issue out???
