A ship homecoming, a last goodbye, a visit

NORFOLK NAVAL STATION -- Norfolk Naval Station flooded Hampton Roads with military traffic Thursday.
The USS Ronald Reagan departed Norfolk for its permanent port on the West Coast, the USS Cole returned home from its first deployment since its infamous attack in Yemen and a handful of British ships arrived for a large, multi-navy training exercise. (SNIP)
HMS ALBION
The only thing more difficult than amphibious warfare - fighting in the area where the land meets the sea - is fighting an amphibious war with military troops joined together from different countries.
At least that's what Commodore Chris Parry said Thursday as he arrived at Norfolk Naval Station on board HMS Albion - one of 18 United Kingdom ships visiting Norfolk for a large, multi-navy training exercise.
That exercise - dubbed Operation Blinding Storm - is set to begin June 10 and will bring together more than 30,000 troops from seven different countries. (SNIP)
