Hoosier couple find knife in luggage
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- An Indiana couple returning from a trip to California found a homemade knife with a 10-inch blade in their luggage, and both say officials can't explain how it ended up there.
Dorrine Theodore found the knife when she unpacked her suitcase earlier this month after returning from San Diego, The Herald-Times reported today.
Her husband, George, said the knife was a shank, like homemade weapons sometimes made in prison. He said officials at the San Diego and Indianapolis airports told him that inspectors likely put the blade in the wrong suitcase after finding it in someone else's bag. (more at link...snipped)

OK, now that is odd.....reason "put it back in the wrong luggage" come on. A homemade "shank" knife.
This did make me think about the cargo.
Can you get from the cargo hold to the cabin? Like in Executive Decision.
Could someone take this knife out of the bag on the tarmac and give it to someone loading the catering supplies?
That shank knife, like the empty suitcases, sounds like a test as well. Inside job.
