I agree about the two types of terrorists.
Which do you believe is using the other as a tool?
I'm not a huge conspiracy person - but this I know: Those who want to be in the dark, those who want to do their own will and hate the thought of surrender to God's will - naturally feel a bond. Although the Islamic jihadis THINK or imagine they are doing God's will (and probably a number of them use that only as a front) we know they are not. Not that Allah isn't a name for the one supreme person - but they have no idea who He is or what will please Him.
That said, there are no doubt powerful people and/or agents in world affairs, that we don't necessarily know. Some we do know. Whether the jihadis or the homo-nazis and femi-nazis or socialists or their minions in the Democratic Party (and many some in the GOP) are more in charge, who's to say?
They are all being moved by what is known in the Vedas as "maya", or illusion. Their knowledge has been stolen by illusion, because they don't want God as their master, but their own will. The more an individual will becomes separated from God's, the more twisted it becomes. Such people graviate together in a kinship of hatred, but since they can't love anyone, they will eventually turn on each other as well.
