Local Men Arrested In Massive ATF Bust
RENO, Nev. -- Federal agents working undercover at gun shows in Nevada the past year have arrested 14 suspects -- including two East Palo Alto men -- on charges ranging from dealing firearms without a license to illegal possession of machine guns and explosives, agents said Friday.
The FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and local law enforcement agencies joined to apprehend the 13 men and one woman in five Western states -- Nevada, California, Utah, Idaho and Washington -- as part of "Operation Over the Line."
Laquan J. Abdulrahim and Lamar Reid, both of East Palo Alto, were among those arrested. Reid was charged with one count of possession of firearm while under domestic violence restraining order. Meanwhile, Abdulrahim was charged with four counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person; one count possession of body armor by a violent felon, one count possession of a firearm by a person under indictment. Abdulrahim (nice Swedish boy, right?) has explosives. I know, I know....I'm moving along....no dots or clues here. Poor misunderstood fella. That's it. They probably meant he's a fella, not a felon. (Groan)
"Operation over the line"
Explosives, guns, body armor, I would say that's over the line.
And...........Abdulrahim was charged with four counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person;
What's a prohibited person?
At least they weren't let go. Or were they?
