To me Rap and Hip Hop are at best a kind of fast food and at worse pornography. It keeps the out of wedlock birth rate hovering around 70 per cent and crack cocaine abuse high. Sad thing though is guns are now being sported.

And just what will the Democratic brethern do about it-nothing.

Entertainment Barons are making fortunes tearing down by dissolution value systems that have withstood thousands of years.

It is also shitting on your doorstep and not giving credit to many great thinkers, scientists and philosophers who thought very deeply.

The spectators of pop culture also seem to get a perverse pleasure out of seeing cultural restraints demolished. I am officially disappointed in our cultural pollution and lack of National Pride and Direction.

Our Postmodern Liberals unrestrained would demolish the Country we have known.

There are times I honestly despair at the mess that is amoral capitalism mixed with lazy agnosticism and hyper-materialistic greed.

"To me Rap and Hip Hop are at best a kind of fast food and at worse pornography."

Interesting take, Helms.
I've always thought of those "art forms" as a curious cross between constipation & diarrhea, myself.
Just goes to show how two people can view the same thing quite differently, eh?

"It keeps the out of wedlock birth rate hovering around 70 per cent and crack cocaine abuse high."

Amoung other things, it keeps all the children firmly planted on the plantation, unbeknownst to them, of course.

"Sad thing though is guns are now being sported."

If I'm reading that statement correctly, surely you realize most -- if not all -- the attacks on the 2nd amendment actually began -- in earnest -- as a reaction to the carnage the inner city gangbangers of America were inflicting on one another.
Something I never had a problem with, truth be known.
I mean if one "lives & lets live" than it only seems right they permit others to "die & let die," right?
Wasn't until much later I learned my attitude was yet another facet of [my] in-built "racism".
Sheshhh, can't seem to win for lose. :o)

"And just what will the Democratic brethern do about it-nothing."

Well neither will (most of) the pubbies, my friend.
Thank God, too.
It's no secret the morons we're electing these days -- from either side -- screw up every damned thing they touch.

"Entertainment Barons are making fortunes tearing down by dissolution value systems that have withstood thousands of years."

Well hell's bells Helms, sure is easier than building, right?

I get a huge kick outa hearing people singing the praise of Fox News Channel while neglecting to recognize the sheer cultural destruction ol' Rupert Murdoch's been up to at his other Fox TV channel(s) whatwith their so-called "entertainment" programming?
Yea-yea.

Rupert must be thinking if he throws the right a bone, he'll be free [read: *protected*] to trash & pollute everything else in America, eh?
(~the stupid SOB must not have heard of RJ Reynolds, huh? :o) )

"It is also shitting on your doorstep and not giving credit to many great thinkers, scientists and philosophers who thought very deeply."

Yes it is, but again shitting's easy!
C'mon, what's more natural than dumping on *something* someone else worked for?
Educators just gotta love seeing that particular type of cultural vandalism since it validates their teaching effectiveness.
Not an easy thing to measure, y'know.

"The spectators of pop culture also seem to get a perverse pleasure out of seeing cultural restraints demolished. I am officially disappointed in our cultural pollution and lack of National Pride and Direction."

HA!!
Yea well, "you'd better hang on, because it's going to be a bumpy ride," as it were.

"Our Postmodern Liberals unrestrained would demolish the Country we have known."

Demolishing themselves in the process, unbeknownst to the ingrates.

"There are times I honestly despair at the mess that is amoral capitalism mixed with lazy agnosticism and hyper-materialistic greed."

Despair?
Why?
Everything seeks a perfect balance, eventually.
Of that I have complete and utter faith (& you should, too).

BTW off topic here, but I enjoyed the hell outa seeing the jpeg you lifted of R.Waters' masterpiece on your bio.
Of course that kind of venue won't play 'round here, but be that as it may.

Now Roger?

...there's a man in real despair. {g}
