Thanks,I don't know why I thought he was beheaded,but I stand corrected. The beauty of the internet is the quick access to information which in turn,if it is true,is a wonderful tool for all men of good will. After all truth will set one free.

Conversely,if the information is not true,through intent to deceive or carelessness,it can be very dangerous and play right into the plans of the enemy,whomsoever that enemy may be.My misinformation was carelessness and I apologise,thanks for setting the record straight.

Not carelessness on your part, you probably just heard the story wrong. And actually it seemed to me that it was unusual that they shot him, rather than cutting his throat with their stupid big knives.

I only remembered because something about the story stuck with me, how he was so brave and told them he'd show them how an Italian died, probably trying to take them on, when one of the cowards just shot him in the back of the head.
